Highly creative and lovingly sensitive Vata

When in balance they follow their intuition, are deeply connected to nature, and full of compassion, laughter, and love. On the other hand, though, they can be quite nervous, anxious and overly sensitive when out of balance. Learn more about this dosha and how to keep it balanced.

VATA – PHYSICALLY:
Vata types are usually thin and have great flexibility. Their energy levels are wave-like: high energy periods are often followed by times with lower power and fatigue. Typically, their skin and hair are dry, their hands and feet cold. Vatas have light sleep and sensitive digestion, which can also be challenging when imbalanced. Other signs of Vata disturbances are restlessness, weakness, arthritis, hypertension, constipation and weight loss.

AND EMOTIONALLY?
Vatas are adventurous, they love to experience new things. They are getting angry quickly but also show a big heart when it comes to forgiveness. Are Vatas balanced, they are flexible, creative and energetic. They enjoy taking the lead and having conversations. When unbalanced, often anxiety takes over, and they can suffer from insomnia. If things go wrong, they are likely to blame it on themselves.
